Interactive World War Two education in Kent

Date Posted: 28/05/2015

Pupils can develop their knowledge of the Battle of Britain by attending a new Scramble Experience in the Wing Visitor Centre in Kent.

Schools can now visit a new educational facility at The National Memorial to the Few in Kent; the interactive Scramble Experience in the Wing building.

The Scramble Experience is an interactive attraction that uses state of the art audio-visual technology and a video wall to help visitors understand what it was like to take part in one of the most important battles of the Second World War.

The Wing, where the experience is located, also offers a purpose built classroom area that can be reserved for school use during the day of a visit.

In this classroom, Key Stage 2 and 3 students can utilise what they have learned on the Scramble Experience to complete worksheets on the Battle of Britain, and they can round off their trip by visiting the Memorial dedicated to those who fought in the Battle of Britain.
