In-school workshops for Shakespeares Twelfth Night

Date Posted: 16/05/2014

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre will run a series of in-school workshops for Primary school groups to accompany its version of Twelfth Night, running from 21st June to 12th July.

The production has been re-imagined for students aged six and over.

Directed by Max Webster, Twelfth Night uses Shakespeare’s original text to create a condensed version of the madcap tale of mistaken identity, suitable for younger audiences.

The storytelling and Drama workshops introduce children to the story, characters and language of the play and reportedly work especially well when children have no prior knowledge of the story.

Information for school trip organisers

Workshops take place in advance of a school visit to see the production of Twelfth Night re-imagined and last two hours, including a ten minute break.

All tickets for school groups of ten or more children are £12, or £10 when booked in conjunction with a workshop.

In addition to this, one teacher goes free with every ten tickets booked. Workshops for up to 30 children are £150.
