Houdini play goes on UK tour

Date Posted: 10/09/2013

New play Houdini will tour the UK from 30th September to 12th October, visiting venues including Blackpool Grand Theatre and Swansea Grand Theatre.

Houdini is about the life of the Houdini Brothers: stuntmen, illusionists, magicians. Harry Houdini was one of the greatest performers who ever lived, but fame and fortune do not come free.

For his brother Theo and his wife Bess, the price may have been too high. This intricate look inside the life story of Houdini explores the devastation that is reaped by ambition, love and jealousy.

Written by and featuring Stuart Brennan, the cast is led by Jamie Nichols in the role of Harry Houdini, Brennan as Theo, Harry Houdini’s brother, and Evanna Lynch as Bess, Harry’s wife.

Other cast members include Mark Lyminster and Ion Patrick Ridge.
