History, Literacy and Citizenship session on Victorian England

Date Posted: 23/01/2015

Geffrye Museum offers a free teaching session for KS2/3 groups from April to July 2015

As part of its temporary exhibition Homes of the Homeless, the Geffrye Museum will be running a free teaching session that follows the lives and choices faced by two homeless children, Agnes and David, in Victorian London.

Pupils will have the opportunity to touch and try on real Victorian objects from the handling collection, and take part in interactive tasks and activities.

Located in London, the museum specialises in English home interiors from 1600 to today, offering a series of period rooms to explore.  Admission is free, as is child entry into many of the exhibitions.

For further information or to book, call 020-7739 9893 or email bookings@geffrye-museum.org.uk.
