Heritage Motor Centre launches support fund for school travel

Date Posted: 26/08/2015

The Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire has recently initiated a three year travel support fund, which is aimed at assisting schools with the cost of coach transport to the museum.

The fund has been made possible through the award of a grant of over £800,000 to the Heritage Motor Centre by Arts Council England. It is part of the Council’s 2015 to 2018 Museum Resilience Funds which provides funding to enable museums to become more sustainable.

The development of the museum’s Science Technology, Engineering and Maths programmes will also benefit from the financial aid.

The Heritage Motor Centre offers Primary schools a range of educational programmes, from Journeys through Time, which takes children from the very first cars right up to the modern day, to Wheels of War, covering life in the car factories during World War Two.
