Henry V with Shakespearean Drama workshop

Date Posted: 04/03/2015

Ellen McDougall returns to the Unicorn for two weeks with her acclaimed 2013 production of Henry the Fifth, adapted by Ignace Cornelissen, and inspired by Shakespeare’s classic historical play.

Henry the Fifth runs from 17th to 31st May and is suitable for children aged eight and over.

A physical Shakespeare Drama Workshop with a drama practitioner will explore the themes of the play and experiment with the theatrics of the Shakespearean language on 23rd May.

Henry the Fifth is part of the Unicorn’s ongoing commitment to looking at new ways of unlocking established works for a younger audience.

Previous productions have included Chaucer’s The Pardoner’s Tale and Chris Thorpe’s Hannah based on Marlowe’s Dr Faustus.
