Have a go at sand sculpture at annual Dorset festival

Date Posted: 04/02/2014

The award-winning Sandworld sand sculpture festival returns to Weymouth from 4th April to 2nd November, featuring a new theme of Books & Authors.

School groups visiting the Dorset resort will have the chance to see a collection of exceptionally detailed sculptures created by artists and creative talents from across the globe.

Sandworld is suitable for students of all ages, and there’s the opportunity to have a go at sand sculpting in large all-weather sculpting areas.

Depending on the time of your visit, it may also be possible to engage with professional sculptors and watch sculptures in progress.

The main display is undercover, making Sandworld an all-weather attraction, with a café selling snacks and ice-creams plus a gift shop stocked with souvenirs and local crafts.
