Free teacher tickets for Uncle Vanya

Anya Reiss’ new version of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, starring John Hannah, will be available for teachers to book with one free place per every ten students tickets paid for.

Premiering on 8th October at St. James Theatre, Reiss’ adaptation of the play reignites the piece for a 21st century audience, revealing the universal difficulties of impossible love, longing and regret.

John Hannah, who is currently on screen as Batiatus in Sky One epic, Spartacus, is well known for his roles in films such as Sliding Doors and The Mummy as well as a wide ranging catalogue of work on stage and screen.

Synopsis

A respected professor returns to his farmland which has been managed without him for many years. He brings with him a new, beautiful, young wife.

Their arrival turns the lives of the residents and his family upside down forcing everyone to re-examine their choices. 

Uncle Vanya runs from 8th October until 8th November and is booking now.

School groups of ten or more pupils are entitled to £15 off Band A tickets.
