Schools wishing to see the West End musical can now benefit from pre and post-show resources, as well as special rates and discounts.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie

The resources have been created to support studies in English, PSHE, Health & Social Care, Performing Arts, Drama, Music and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development.

The packs contain in-depth lesson plans, printable resources, as well as background information to the show, interviews, designs, and script extracts.

Aimed at students from Key Stage 3 right through to A-Level, the packs will help teachers explore themes of identity, relationships, resilience and respecting difference with their pupils.

Example resources

PSHE: Aimed at Year 9 upwards, the PSHE pack covers themes including identity, relationships and self-esteem. Activities within the packs are intended to assist schools in building a supportive environment as they cover topics within three main areas; health and wellbeing, relationships, and living in the wider world.

Drama: The Drama resource pack is aimed at students of Drama, Theatre Studies, English and BTEC Level 3 in Performing Arts. The first part of the pack contains interviews with the artistic team, giving an insight into the design and directing processes, whilst focusing on the themes of the play. The second part encourages discussion and debate.

Synopsis: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie

Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. Jamie is going to be a sensation.

Inspired by a true story, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie follows Jamie as he overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps into the spotlight, with the support of his loving mum and surrounded by his friends.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is currently booking until 6th April 2019 at London’s Apollo Theatre.

School rates are available for groups of ten or more and are valid Monday to Wednesday evenings and Wednesday Matinees.

Catering packages are also available to book for visiting schools, and include a souvenir programme, ice cream and a soft drink or water.
