Exhibition is cool as ice

A Sheffield display will explore the archaeological legacy of Creswell Crags.

Life on the Edge: Ice Age Frontier will run at Museums Sheffield’s Weston Park Site from 28th March to 20th September 2015.

Life on the Edge explores the archaeological importance of Creswell Crags and the lives of our ancestors who fought to survive there.

The display, which will include a pair of 1.5 metre long Late Pleistocene woolly mammoth tusks, as well as bones and teeth from other animals that were indigenous to the region, should inspire pupils to imagine what Creswell would have been like during the Ice Age.

A full learning programme is currently being worked on by the museum’s team. Further information to follow.
