Drama workshops at The York Dungeon

Date Posted: 19/09/2014

Teachers looking to bring history to life outside the classroom can enrol their pupils in a new Deadly Drama Workshop at the northern attraction.

The interactive sessions will see students getting into character and learning how to portray key historical events such as the hanging of Dick Turpin, and the arrival of the plague in the city.

After the session, children can join a guided walking tour of the Roman city with two knowledgeable actors to show them the prominent sights.

Schools can currently take advantage of an introductory price that includes the Deadly Drama Workshops, guided city tour and Dungeon tour for £10 per student and free entry for teachers.

Events can also be booked separately.
