Disney’s The Lion King reveals new educational DVD

Date Posted: 14/01/2013

You can now take pupils on a ‘virtual backstage tour’ of Disney’s The Lion King, with a free DVD available with all bookings.

The educational DVD has been created exclusively for schools to give children an insight into how the production was created.

Hosted by Matt Baker, the DVD comprises ten episodes each between four and seven minutes long, exploring different aspects of the show including costumes, masks and puppets, staging, choreography, music and more.

Each episode is accompanied by detailed curriculum links, in addition to comprehension questionnaires for Key Stages One to Two, and Three to Four.

Episodes are also linked to the existing The Lion King Education Programme Teaching Resource Packs, also available to teachers when booking.
