Craft And Art sessions Available At New Cotswolds YHA %7C School Travel News

A new YHA hostel has opened in Cirencester and is offering craft and Art sessions for school children.

Arts charity New Brewery Arts is operating the hostel and has also designed the content of the workshops, which vary between painting, drawing and printing sessions.

The charity works with schools to create packages that will suit them. Teachers can choose from a list of sessions that offer children the chance to learn more about art in a relaxed environment.

Workshops and sessions on offer include felt making, big weavings, painting, drawing, art sessions linked to specific artists, willow lantern making, life size portrait drawing and making fantasy creatures.

During term-time, schools can also arrange to have a tour of the makers’ studios – belonging to makers and artists in the region.

Many workshops have links to the National Curriculum such as Art and Design, and the charity can arrange two day workshops or longer, with activities around the Cirencester area as well as Brewery Arts on offer.
