Climate change exhibition to open in France

Date Posted: 01/04/2015

A new exhibition Ocean & Climate: getting hot in here! is opening this Easter at Nausicaa, the French National Sea Centre and aquarium.

Pupils will learn about global warming and greenhouse gases and discover the role of ocean plays in climate regulation. They will be encouraged to think about the effect humanity has on the weather and what could be done to minimise climate change.

Jomo, an interactive penguin, will be present throughout the exhibition highlighting the issues to the students. Cinema footage, images and video messages from climate scientists and speakers will also be part of the exhibition.

Based in northern France, the aquarium is also an educational and scientific learning centre for the marine environment.

The exhibition opens on 4th April.
