ZOG

Author Julia Donaldson’s story, Zog, about a young dragon at school, is being developed into a stage show and is expected to tour the UK next year.

The show, which will be suitable for all ages but will be particularly aimed at Primary school pupils, will premiere at the Rose Theatre Kingston on 14th February 2019.

The show will then tour the UK visiting venues such as Harrogate, Carlisle, Milton Keynes, Durham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Northampton and Bradford, with further tour dates to be announced.

What can school pupils learn from Zog?

Large in size, and keen in nature, Zog is so eager to win a golden star at Madam Dragon’s school, where dragons learn all the things that dragons need to know. Zog tries very hard, perhaps too hard, as he bumps, burns and roars his way through years one, two and three.

School groups going to see the show will learn valuable lessons from the story such as determination, confidence and it will also tie in with Literacy studies. Above all, the show aims to be fun and engaging.

Teachers should contact their chosen theatres for details on school rates.
