British Music Experience is now closed

The popular music museum located at London’s O2 is closed from today.

Trustees of the British Music Experience (BME) have announced that the museum is currently looking for a new home, in a move which will allow it to improve and expand its collection of music memorabilia.

The British Music Experience opened at the O2 in 2009, and has since welcomed over half a million visitors who have come to explore, play, listen to and experience the collection.

Trustee chairman of the BME Harvey Goldsmith commented: “the trustees are looking to the next stage of our development. That means finding a more sustainable home which we hope to have up-and-running in the near future. The O2 will be a hard act to follow but we are excited about the prospects for the future.”
