Booking open for Museum of London’s 2015-16 schools programme

Teachers looking for Primary and Secondary school museum sessions can now peruse and book next year’s KS1 to 5 selection on offer from the Museum of London.

The Museum of London is now advertising its autumn/winter 2015/16 schools’ sessions for school trip organisers to book.

The Key Stage 1 workshop London’s Burning! Fire! Fire! teaches younger children about the Great Fire of London with role play and object handling.

Iron Age and Romans sessions for Key Stage 2 include replica costume and object handling in the Roman Costume lesson and a Storytelling and Literacy Workshop.

Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils can book onto a range of History and Citizenship sessions including Suffragettes, the Black Death and Black History.

The Learning Programme includes online resources and special educational needs’ material. You can also take advantage of the museum’s Prehistory loan boxes which contain artefacts including a Mesolithic sewing kit, a Neolithic pot, a Bronze Age axehead and Iron Age coins.

The majority of sessions are free of charge. Due to demand early booking is recommended.
