Battlefield tours commemorate WWI centenary

Galloway Coach Travel is set to commemorate the centenary of World War One next year with several visits to war sites, with destinations including Ypres, The Somme and Passchendaele to remember local heroes.

School trip organisers can choose from several war site visits with both coach holidays and day trips available.

It has also been announced that Army Air Corps Major Mike Peters has joined Galloway Coach Travel as a resident military historian to aid war site experiences for groupl visits.

Mike’s role will cover a range of areas including product development and historical and destination research, and he is also available to lead organised battlefield tours.
