Date Posted: 10/09/2014

Commemorating World War One, a contemporary art prize, glass historic photography, and a large contemporary ceramics exhibition, National Museum Cardiff has a feast of exhibitions over the next six months.

The Welsh and the War running from now until 7th January is a series of portraits of people - soldiers, sailors, airmen, politicians and families - whose lives were transformed by the Great War.

The Artes Mundi 6 exhibition will be on show for 17 weeks at the National Museum of Art, Chapter and other locations around Cardiff from 24th October.

Maurice Marinot: A Passion for Glass is on display at the National Museum Cardiff from 20th December to 7th June 2015.

Historic Photography Uncovered from 24th January to 19th April 2015 traces the evolution of photography, as both a means of scientific and social record and also as a medium for artistic expression.
