Arts Week at the National Marine Aquarium

Date Posted: 10/11/2014

The National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth promises to be awash with creativity during Arts Week from 1st to 5th December.

Arts Week is on offer to school children from across the region.

Now in its seventh year, Arts Week offers a variety of arts-based workshops, including sessions with the aquarium’s resident artist and drawing classes with divers, using the attraction’s creatures as inspiration.

All sessions have been developed to include a variety of cross-curricular skills, as well as being fun and interactive.

Dr David Gibson, managing director of the National Marine Aquarium, commented: “We’re really looking forward to hosting another Arts Week.

“It’s always great to see the children engaging with our hosts and workshops and being inspired by the array of marine life we have here at the aquarium.”

Arts Week costs £7 per pupil, which includes a sketchbook, two workshops and a dive show.
