A Little Print of Sheffield workshop

Date Posted: 29/10/2014

Inspired by its Picturing Sheffield exhibition, pupils can take part in the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield’s print workshop from now until April.

Running alongside the exhibition, which is on display from 29th November to 12th April, the workshop explores the history of Sheffield through pictures before giving children the opportunity to hand-print their own images to form a banner representing what Sheffield means to them.

Picturing Sheffield: The Life of a City reassesses the value of Sheffield’s urban vistas and explores how the region’s geography has shaped the city and its people.

The exhibition features over 90 evocative depictions by artists including JMW Turner, Godfrey Sykes, John Hoyland, Bill Brandt, Linda Benedict-Jones and Joe Scarborough.
