Survival in the Wild

Venue: Chester Zoo

This is a 50 minutes' long survival workshop suitable for Key Stage 2 students, focusing on how animals survive in the wild.

Adaptations, interdependence and food chains are all themes which are explored during the session.

Pupils will explore a selection of artefacts and work out how different animals are adapted for survival and how they are dependent on other animals and plants that share their habitat. They'll also look at food chains and the hazardous matter of animals finding food and avoiding being eaten.
