Date Posted: 18/04/2013

Edinburgh Bus Tours has unveiled details of its new and improved tour - the Edinburgh World Heritage Official Tour: A City of Contrasts, which is now available for school trip organisers to book.

The tour promises to bring Edinburgh’s rich history to life, with tales of the city’s dramatic past and present all part of the experience.

As well as offering dramatic tales, pupils on the tour will now be able to take in sights such as Fettes College – where the character of James Bond was supposedly educated – and Dean Bridge.

The new extended route also visits favourite sites including Edinburgh Castle, The Palace of Holyroodhouse, and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. The tour lasts approximately one hour and 20 minutes.

Edinburgh World Heritage Official Tour: A City of Contrasts has been developed in conjunction with Edinburgh World Heritage, the charity dedicated to conserving, protecting and promoting the city’s World Heritage.

School group discounts on the buses

Edinburgh Bus Tours offer discounted rates for school groups of ten or more (15 or more for the Royal Edinburgh Ticket) when booking in advance.
