Lightwater Valley hatches Angry Birds

A brand new development at Lightwater Valley Amusement Park based on the popular Angry Birds computer game is due to open on 25th May.

The Angry Birds area, which cost over £1 million to develop, will offer activity-based play combined with digital, interactive elements and will be available throughout the year, unlike the main theme park which opens for a season.

A retail store selling a wide range of Angry Birds official merchandise is also due to open.

About Lightwater Valley

Lightwater Valley is a theme park located between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks.

Set in over 175 acres, the park is home to rides including The Ultimate, the longest rollercoaster in Europe and the Black Pearl, described as the only full 360 degree pirate ship in the country.
