Stomp, the popular percussion ensemble show, will be extending its booking period in the West End with school rates available as well as workshops.
The show has now been extended until 15th April 2018 at London’s Ambassadors Theatre after breaking box office records.
Discounts for schools are available, and teachers can call 020 7395 5405 for more details on tickets.
Teachers should also note that the show has a running time of 100 minutes, with no interval.
Synopsis: Stomp
Stomp uses everyday objects to create rhythms such as shopping trolleys, newspapers and bins. It combines comedy, dance and music.
Stomp for Schools
Teachers can arrange Stomp workshops for their classes, either inside the school or at a chosen location. These workshops can be tailored to suit all Key Stages.
The workshops for Key Stage 1 and 2 incorporate warm up games, discovering sounds, repetition, call and response, counting, co-ordination, shapes and movement, which can link in with Music, Maths and Drama.
For Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils, workshops can include exploring physicality, co-ordination and dexterity, syncopation, sequencing, time signatures, combining rhythm and movement.

The history of Stomp
Stomp was created by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas and was first performed in 1991 in Edinburgh.
Stomp has toured the globe for 26 years, playing to more than 12 million people in 53 countries across 6 continents.
There are currently four Stomp companies performing worldwide, including New York, where the show has been running for over 23 years, and London, now in its 15th year.
