This year’s School Travel Awards were once again a huge success. We round up some of the best Twitter reactions from the event.

The awards ceremony took place on 9th November at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. The ceremony was co-presented by television presenter Fiona Bruce, who shared her stories of some of the best and some of the weirdest school trips she went on as a child.

She said: “I think it’s so right that we should celebrate what extraordinary teachers do, what incredible schools do, the extraordinary trips they take them on, the learning experiences they give them, and the places the children go and get so much from. When I was on school trips I loved them and I’m so pleased to get to celebrate them at this event."

A surprise performance by members of the School of Rock the Musical cast, from London’s West End, kicked off proceeding after a themed drinks reception, sponsored by The London Bridge Experience & London Tombs. A five-star lunch followed before the awards ceremony began.

From 17 categories came 17 brilliant winners, and plenty of fantastic finalists. Congratulations are in order for everyone involved.
